Welcome to The Pumpkin Patch at Farmstad!

We’re Open 1pm - 4pm Every Saturday in October

(or until we’re out of pumpkins)

Our opening day at the Pumpkin Patch was a blast!  We met new neighbors Sam and Amy, who just moved in last Wednesday, and welcomed old timers, too. We had babies marveling at the big orange balls and youngsters lining up for a thrill on the excavator swing, “This is great!”.  Faces were painted…butterflies, sunflowers, tigers….and little white pumpkins left as works of art. More than a few Pumpkin Cupcakes were devoured. About half of our 150 pumpkins have gone home with you all and we love seeing them popping up on your porches!

If you haven’t had a chance to come by yet, we hope you can make it this weekend! We’re psyched to see you and share our Pumpkin Patch Wonderland!

Pumpkins! All organic: Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkins, Cinderella Pumpkins, White Pumpkins, Sugar Pumpkins, Decorative Pumpkins, Baby-Boo Pumpkins.  Do you know that all pumpkins are edible, are very nutritious, and most are delicious! And if you haven’t carved it, it gets sweeter as it ages..months!  If you’ve carved yours, consider giving them to a farmer with livestock, they’ll be very grateful.

Bakery Treats! Mostly organic: Glazed Pumpkin Spiced Cookies, Pumpkin Spiced Cupcakes w/ Cream Cheese Frosting, and Molasses Oatmeal Spiced Cookie Cream Pies. Made from our own Sugar Pumpkins & farm fresh eggs.

Ice Cold Lemonade and Farm Fresh Cider! We were going to serve hot apple cider but, hey....it’s gonna be hot this weekend, so we’re pivoting..

Hay Rides! Farmer Doug will be on his antique Ferguson (tractor!), hauling people around the farm, pulling apples off of 100-year-old trees, cutting sample slices for all, and sharing interesting bits of Farmstad’s 100-year-PLUS history.

Face Painting! Get a cheeky pumpkin painted on your cheeky cheek!! Besides being a baker extraordinaire, Jade, one of our beloved WWOOFERS, is an artist who loves to paint faces.

Pumpkin Painting! We’ve prepped our Baby Boos (mini whites) for painting with a colorful variety of acrylic paints. We have everything set up for you and your kids to paint your mini-pumpkin masterpiece.

Aidan is on hand to help keep it fun & easy with paints and clean up. Can’t wait to see the gallery!

Excavator Swing! You take the excavator to the top of the hill, tie a big long farm rope to the bucket and lift it high up in the air. You thread a little round wooden seat on the business end and there you have it. Kids love it and frankly, it makes us all feel like kids again. We’ll provide observer seating, it’s fun to watch, too!

Since you asked…..

Is it free?  Yes, and....!  Free to come into the farm, peruse the pumpkin patch and gardens, swing on the excavator swing, paint mini pumpkins, get your face painted and enjoy a hay ride! Our pumpkins are for sale, as well as our farm made bakery treats, cider and lemonade. We want you to enjoy the farm, your neighbors & the activities without having to pay at every turn! We love to see you smile.

Parking: There's plenty of parking in our field. You'll see parking signs directing you along the way.

Dogs: You know we love your dogs! And, we respectfully ask that you leave them in the big field, outside the pumpkin patch, with a friend. We'll have water for your dog and a place for your friend to sit.  The problem with dogs in a pumpkin patch is that they are happy to mark their territory, preferably on a pumpkin. That will leave us and fellow pumpkin patch goers cringing. Thank you! And we can't wait to see you and your pooches!

Accessibility:  Our pumpkin patch is at the top of a gentle slope about 100 yards long, through a roughly mowed hay field. If you would like assistance, please call 206-653-4264 and we'll arrange to pick you up in our farm golf cart.

Bathrooms: Yes! We have a bathroom for you!

Picnicking? Yes! Bring a picnic! You can come as early as noon and picnic in the field next to the Pumpkin Patch. Enjoy the beautiful afternoon, listen to the birds, watch us get ready…

12108 SW 148th St, Vashon, WA 98070

Parking: Take the drive on the right of the scarecrow. Once you enter our driveway you will see two greenhouses on your right. About 100 ft from the entrance you will see an opening on your right, it leads to a wide-open field, turn into that field for parking.

NOTE: Please park in an orderly and respectful position to allow space for other members.
